I left school at the age of 17 and began painting and decorating professionally, learning the trade at Perth College while working as an apprentice for a company at the same time.
I really enjoyed learning from the guys I was working alongside, as well as acquiring fundamental skills at college - where I won the Apprentice of The Year award.
Once I'd completed my apprenticeship, I worked for a couple of decorating companies before deciding to start up on my own back in 2014. It's a decision I wish I had made much sooner as it's only made me enjoy what I do even more.
Being able to deal with my clients directly throughout the whole process, getting to know them on a more personal basis, being able to put my name on the work I do for them and hearing how much they love it once it's done gives me such a great sense of pride and satisfaction.
